Poor Mother..

Tuesday, August 18, 2009

She came to us as me and my mother entered the house. She was looking torn. She was smiling but my mother and I sensed something wrong in it! We waited until we sat on the couch and started talking. As I am 30 years younger to her I did not have much of a right to ask her what was worrying her so I waited until my mother began to talk into things in depth.

She took care of her only daughter, from the age of 5, after her husbands death, till she got married without any other help. She had a chance to get married but she did not want to do it as she was a women who wanted to live for her daughter alone. She gave up all the pleasure. She worked all day long by leaving her daughter at her mother's place even when she wanted to pamper her. It was tough but she opted to live a lonely life for her daughter.

Now, their relationship is in a chaos. The daughter, who is well settled with her husband and two sons, started to talk back in a harsh way. Hurting her ot the depth of depths. The century and generation does matter in relationship between parents and children but that does not mean that she should talk in the way she did.

She cried, cried and cried trying to express what she had deep in her heart, unsaid, from a long time. It seemed tough but she said it completely. My mother and I learned a lesson from it, never live for anyone else, even if it is your own blood. Live for yourself because at the end of the day you are alone again!

Life is tough, but live to the fullest at the moment or you might miss living your life!!

It was tough,

But she walked,

Never turning back,

Just for her baby...

Now she regrets,

Not turning back..

Now she saw behind,

She never lived!
